Celtic Wisdom

At one point or another, we've all heard such sayings as, "You can't teach an old dog new tricks," "What's good for the goose is good for the gander," and "Don't count your chickens before they're hatched." All of these proverbial snippets of  Irish Wisdom were born in the land of Eire and have since traveled the globe, in the process becoming a vital part of the world lexicon. How many of these sayings will already be familiar to you?

Ireland's national fondness for adult beverages has spawned an expansive assortment of  Irish Toasts for all occasions that involve the slaking of thirst. In your travels around the Emerald Isle, these glowing niceties may likely be offered to you by an Irishman as a benediction or blessing, should you happen to buy him a pint or three of his favorite ale or stout.
